special HMC has a top coating of Nano-Ceramic Film (NCF) that emanates
molecule chains downwards, through the AR coating into the lens
substrate thereby locking down and securing the entire HMC on a
point-by-point basis. This is why Paladin coated lenses can come
with a 5-year warranty against HMC peeling.
